Being overweight is health risk for most of the people who desire to be fully healthy. It is a status wherein you have exceeded your maximum weight as per the BMI rule. This means that you have more body fat than what is optimal for health.
In this generation of the youth, most of the girls define sexy as having those very prominent collar bones, eye-catching curves and skinny arms and legs. They are very conscious of their weight and the food that they are taking. They define being healthy as being able to maintain a body that everyone would desire and having the opportunity to wear all the trending clothes and dresses the sexy models usually endorsed. This is where a lot of diet and exercises came in. People feel the need to go to the gym or enroll themselves on different diet and training activities to achieve their goal, which is the ever hot, seductive and voluptuous body.
I personally believe in taking the necessary things to achieve what you want. I can proudly say that I was overweight as well when I decided to start my diet journey. It was July 2015 when I first engage myself on exercising and dieting. Standing 5’4, I was 72.5kg and if you’re about to compute my BMI, I was overweight and going to obesity in quite a bit.
It wasn’t easy to shift from the amount of food I usually eat to a little lesser. It hit me too much during the first month of not consuming rice at all but it was worth it because I lost 2kg in one month (ofcourse it was a combination of diet and regular jogging). My daily routine became usual. Instead of jogging only, I added some exercises. At first, the targets on the exercises were hard to meet but then it was smoothly followed after a while.
At present, 6 months from the time I started my diet and exercise, I am now 64kg. I lost aroung 8.5kg and it was self fulfilling knowing that you have actually made all the sacrifices worth it. I tried to calculate my BMI and alas, I am now on the normal range. I can now wear some old clothes that doesn’t fit me before. I feel more confident about myself. I feel happier.
For those who think they can’t, I will tell you this, “You can because you want it.” Every time you would feel discourage, go back to the very reason why you started. It will lead you to the right answers and will push you to persevere.
If this will make you happy, do it. Do the things that makes you the happiest.”
